Bashir Ahmad expressed his condolences and offered prayers that Allah (SWT) would grant Hon. Ismail Maihanci Jannah al-Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings. According to sources close to the family, Hon. Ismail Maihanci, who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), passed away in the early hours of April 22 after a brief illness, although the exact cause of his death has not been disclosed.
