Muslims Worldwide Observe the Holiest Night of Ramadan: Laylat Al-Qadr
Muslims worldwide gathered in mosques and homes on the 27th night of Ramadan, which is considered the holiest night of the month-long observance. This night is known as Laylat Al-Qadr or the Night of Power, and it holds immense significance in Islamic history and tradition.
Laylat Al-Qadr is believed to be the night on which the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad by the angel Gabriel. The Quran describes this night as "better than a thousand months" in terms of its spiritual significance, and it is said that prayers and acts of worship performed on this night are equivalent to those performed over a thousand months.
Muslims observe this night by performing special prayers and supplications throughout the night, seeking forgiveness for their sins and asking for blessings and guidance from Allah. Many mosques hold special programs and recitations of the Quran, and some people spend the entire night in prayer and contemplation.
