A Nigerian man finds a love letter from his high school sweetheart after 8 years

A Nigerian man has shared a touching story of how he found a love letter from his high school girlfriend, eight years after they parted ways. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, told Jaratvent blog that he stumbled upon the letter while cleaning his room. He said the letter brought back memories of their young love and made him wonder what happened to her.

The man said he met his girlfriend, Faith Bernard, at Jinie College Barnawa in Kaduna, where they both attended secondary school. He said they used to sneak to meet at her house, even though her father was strict. He said they broke up because she got admission to a university before him.

“It was obvious, she was my senior in school then, so she was obviously going to finish before me. But unless she is married, we will still meet again,” he said.

The content of the letter she wrote to him reads: “Having you in my mind is a beautiful feeling. You make me feel special with all that you say and all that you do.”
