BREAKING: Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashes in Kazakhstan, 61 Feared dead.

A tragic incident has unfolded in Kazakhstan, as an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft crashed near the city of Aktau. Authorities report that 67 individuals were aboard the ill-fated flight when it plunged to the ground.

The plane, en route from Baku, Azerbaijan to Grozny, Russia, encountered severe fog conditions, prompting a course deviation. The aircraft ultimately plummeted close to the Aktau airport in the country’s western region. By the time emergency teams arrived at the scene, the plane was engulfed in flames, though the fire has now been extinguished.

As the dust settles, the death toll is feared to be substantial, with only six survivors having been rescued, according to emergency responders. The horror of the crash, which occurred on Christmas morning, has cast a dark shadow over the holiday season.

While the cause of the crash remains under investigation, the wreckage and the harrowing scenes of the aftermath paint a grim picture of the event.
