Joe and Jill Biden welcome their great-grandson, William Brannon Neal IV, with joy. Naomi Biden shares a touching family moment.

Naomi Biden, eldest daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle, has ushered her family into a new chapter. On January 8, the Bidens announced their status as great-grandparents following the birth of Naomi's son, William Brannon Neal IV, in Los Angeles.

The revelation came just hours after President Joe Biden proudly shared the news with reporters, highlighting the newborn's robust arrival at 10 pounds, 4 ounces. Soon after, First Lady Jill Biden took to Instagram, unveiling the infant's name and an intimate family snapshot.

The President and First Lady devoted approximately 40 minutes at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, spending cherished moments with Naomi, her husband Peter Neal, and their newborn son. President Biden, 82, had previously expressed heartfelt anticipation for this milestone during an interview with USA Today. Reflecting on his new role, he said with enthusiasm, "I'm about to be a great-grandfather, Jesus God."

Naomi, 31, had prepared for her son’s arrival with a planned C-section. The joyous news was first hinted at in November when she announced her pregnancy on Instagram Stories, sharing a poignant image of her baby bump adorned with a "voted" sticker on Election Day.

Naomi Biden holds a distinctive place in White House history. Her 2022 nuptials to Peter Neal marked a rare occasion—a grandchild of a sitting president marrying on the South Lawn. The private ceremony, steeped in elegance, became a hallmark of her bond with her family and public role.

President Biden has often spoken candidly about the profound connection he shares with his grandchildren, emphasizing their integral role in his life. In 2022, during an episode of the SmartLess podcast, he lovingly remarked, "They're crazy about me, and I'm crazy about them. Every single day, I contact every one of my grandchildren."

Naomi reciprocated this affection, speaking tenderly of her "Pop" during an interview with Jenna Bush Hager, explaining, "We've grown up together. Every tradition, every holiday, we are always united as a family."
