Tragedy at Jigawa Wedding: Bride Allegedly Poisons Guests, Leaving One Dead and Groom Hospitalized

A wedding in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State turned tragic when a bride allegedly laced food served at her wedding reception with poison, leading to the death of a guest and leaving the groom in critical condition.

The incident occurred on Thursday, shocking the local community and prompting an immediate response from law enforcement. Eyewitnesses suggested that the bride’s actions may have been motivated by a personal grudge.

Speaking to Jaratvent Blog, sources disclosed that the bride and another woman have been taken into custody for questioning. A police spokesperson for Jigawa State, Shi’isu Adam, confirmed the arrests and stated that the Criminal Investigation Department was leading the inquiry.
